People and animals deserve the chance of a happy life, that’s all we want.

Sweet, affectionate Bertha, what a girl

This is our Bertha, she is a wonderful staffie x, female around 2 years old.

Now what can we say about this girl, well it’s like this.

Bertha, is an extremely friendly girl, loves people with a passion. Bertha, has now been socialised with other dogs, and is really enjoying their company. Bertha, could be rehomed with another dog, but she is not used to other animals, so she can not be re-homed with any other pets, i.e. cats, rabbits etc.

Bertha has had a bad time till she came to us, she isn’t used to young children, so we suggest older children, teenagers that might help her with being anxious about something’s, especially being left at home alone. Bertha needs a home where she will be the centre of attention, where someone can work with her, and give her back her confidence, she will make a wonderful pet, loving, loyal, and fun, as long as that person/family give her the time to unwind and be herself, which I am sure would be a real loving, loyal, wonderful companion.

Bertha up to date with her vaccinations, flea and worm treated, spayed, mirco chipped and will have six weeks free insurance with Pet Plan.

Spirit | Staffie Cross
Spirit is an 18 month old American Bull Dog x Staffie who has been abandoned in paying kennels for months. He is a big gentle 'sop' who currently starved of the affection and company he needs is emotionally exuberant! He walks well on the lead once settled into his walks and registers and is obedient to most voice commands. A social dog but will need his kennel energy worked / walked off to enable him to resettle into 'the way of things' We neutered him early June and chipped him. He is already vax'd. We are currently looking for a foster place for him or experienced home initially as an only dog during his assessment period.

Ollie | Staffordshire Bull Terrrier

OLLIE

Hi everybody my name is Ollie. I have been spayed,
I am about 2 years old and I was born deaf.
I am a very happy little girl and I love to play all day long.
I am very fit and healthy and need an adult only family who can spend a lot of time exercising me and playing with me with my favourite ball.
I know a few hand signals and am quite obedient but I can still learn more if you have the time to do some training with me.
It is important that I am an only pet because I would not be happy living with another dog or cat.
Like most Terriers I must be kept busy otherwise I get bored quickly, but once I have had my exercise I am happy to sleep in my nice warm basket for a few hours. If you think you have lots of spare time and energy please consider giving me the forever home that I so desperately need. I have been in rescue kennels for months now and although the people here love me and I love them I do need a family to call my own.
Lots of Love Ollie. xxxx

Ollie is currently at Boston kennels For more information please call Uncle Chris on 07971 578963

The Doris Banham Charity saves hundreds of pound dogs from destruction every month.  If a rescue place cannot be found in time to save a dog’s life, we pay for a temporary boarding place.  We would be extremely grateful for a donation to help with boarding costs to continue saving the lives of forgotten pound dogs like Ollie. We are funded solely by donation and 100% of funds are spent on the dogs.  All our dogs are neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped prior to re-homing.  We will re-home to anywhere in the country subject to a satisfactory home check.

Layla | Staffordshire Bull Terrrier

LAYLA

Baby Staffie

We have no history for Layla as she was a stray dog.  Layla is only 9 months old and has never known a loving home.  She is such a lovely girl – a typical sweet, cuddly and affectionate puppy.  Layla is such a sweetheart and is just waiting for you to give her all the love she deserves.  Are you the lucky person who can offer Layla a home?

Layla is currently at Cottam kennels.  For more information please contact:

Pepe | Terrier
Pepe is a terrierx, male approx 4 yrs old, he is neutered, up to date with all his vaccinations, flea and worm treated. We are looking for a foster home for Pepe, could you offer a foster home without children or dogs, would you like to assess our Pepe. Pepe has character, he is fun loving and loves to play with his toys. Pepe is good on the lead and doesn’t pull. Pepe does suffer from stress, he is very frightened of loud noises or people shouting. So ideally we are looking for a nice couple, who’s children have left home that can give Pepe all the love he deserves in a nice quiet environment. Pepe is yet another dog that was not socialised in the early weeks and months with other animals or dogs, so he has to have a home on his own. I am sure with a positive, patient, confident fosterer, Pepe may well be taught to accept others and become a sociable little fella.

If you would like to know more about our Pepe, don’t hesitate to give us a call. 01732 865530 during 10 to 3, alternatively you could email us on Email Age
